interesting facts (click to see playlist of show on which fact was mentioned, if applicable):
- There were several versions of "I'm Looking Over A Four-Leaf Clover" on record in 1927, including one by Ben Bernie & His Orchestra, with vocal by Scrappy Lambert, who (under the pseudonym of Gordon Wallace) also sang "Cheerio Cherry Lips Cheerio" - Dr. Demento's closing theme since 1975.
- The parody lyrics were in circulation in the 1960s, well before this recording, and were often performed at UCLA basketball pep rallies in the 1970s. Dave brought the lyrics to their current state for this recording.
- Their Aeolian Duo-Art Played Piano was sometimes credited in the early days, but later dropped. The listing above shows the ways in which they were credited on the air, though some are surely inaccurate. If the original tape can be checked, this page will be updated with which artist attribution is actually correct.

- Hank Landsberg (inspiration and dog whining)
- Stu (vocals)
- Dave Whited (arrangement and lyric refinement)
- Hank #2 (recordist/engineer)

- Southern California
interesting facts (click to see playlist of show on which fact was mentioned, if applicable):
- Dr. Demento only became aware of the other Hank in 1985 when putting together his 6 LP box set, so airings prior to that omit mention of Hank #1.
