Dr. Demento's Daily Dose Of Dementia

In a similar vein to Dr. Demento's Demented Pick Of The Week from a decade earlier, 1993 brought us another single-track program, this time on a daily basis. It generally focused more on spoken word rather than musical comedy, and sometimes included tracks which were not heard on the weekly show.

It was again distributed to stations which already carried the weekly show. One week's worth of Daily Dose Of Dementia shows, for the week following the regular show, were generally included at the end of the second CD. Also included were the same tracks "in the clear" so stations could play them without Dr. Demento's intro and outro if they wished.

Following is a list of all the episodes, along with the shows on which they were included.

93-03

This first set of episodes differs from most in that there are no bonus "in the clear" tracks included. Also, instead of all being at the end of disc 2, the episodes are spread out with the first two on disc 1 and the other three on disc 2. The episodes comprise two tracks each because there were no national commercials with the show at this point, so room is left for local commercials to be inserted.

Monday, January 18, 1993
The Hair Piece - George Carlin
Tuesday, January 19, 1993
Sister Mary Elephant - Cheech & Chong
Wednesday, January 20, 1993
Kidnapped - Woody Allen
Thursday, January 21, 1993
PMS Airlines - The Royal Canadian Air Farce
Friday, January 22, 1993
Fat Man's Prayer - Victor Buono

93-04

This set of episodes is all on disc 1, with all the "in the clear" bonus tracks on disc 2. The episodes are still two tracks apiece with no national commercials. The final episode is missing from the discs due to a timing miscalculation, but its "in the clear" track is included.

Monday, January 25, 1993
Pet Shop - Monty Python
Tuesday, January 26, 1993
(Jimmy Peterson) - Emo Philips
Wednesday, January 27, 1993
No Anchovies, Please - The J. Geils Band
Thursday, January 28, 1993
Car Noises - The Frantics
Friday, January 29, 1993 - NOT AIRED because it was mistakenly omitted from the discs
Abominable Snowman - John Barbour

93-05

At this point, they started putting the first segment of hour two of the regular show at the end of disc 1, to allow for all of the Daily Dose Of Dementia contents to be together at the end of disc 2. There were still no national commercials. The first episode this week is the one which should've aired as the last episode last week.

Wednesday February 3, 1993

Thursday February 4, 1993

Friday February 5, 1993

93-06

At this point the national commercials started, so the Daily Dose Of Dementia comprised tracks 6-10 of disc 2, with the bonus "in the clear" tracks comprising 11-15. This was the pattern for the remainder of the run.
